exhausted Well, this is my first entry from Japan...as you may have noticed, I'm a not feeling so well. I haven't been able to sleep very well since we got here, mainly due to my cold, jet-lag, the heat and missing everyone at home horribly. I'm hoping things will work themselves out soon, so I can post some happy news here, instead of whining. =(
Today's the big placement test to find out what level of Japanese we'll be studying...with my Kanji skills and a total of 4hrs of sleep (ending around midnight last night), I'm pretty sure I'll be testing into level 1. =P
It's great to be in Japan, but the culture shock is terrible. I'm sure soon I'll be loving every moment, but right now I just wanna curl up and cry somewhere.
My roommate is nice though...we met at the airport. Her name is Cassidy and so far, we're getting along well. =)
All I need are a few good nights of sleep and I should be fine again. Wish me luck.

and you havent learned causative-passive and the like yet, have you? im pretty sure you'll test into level 2. i got into level 2 forgetting the 年 kanji.

hey, good to hear from you! didn:t know you had a livejournal account. =) i:m doing much better now, so thanks! the only things bothering me are lack of internet in my room and a cold, otherwise things are good. how bout you? take care!
